About Harsh Raj Gond
Visual artist & Filmmaker
Harsh Raj Gond is a visual artist and filmmaker who continuously strives to create mesmerising visuals and films. He has a deep passion for empathising with and connecting to people. He is known for his work in the film – Dolly Kitty Aur woh Chamakte Sitaare and short documentary film – The Legacy from Beyond. His main objective is to uplift the marginalised sections of society and share their stories with the world. He believes in the power of creativity to become a compelling storyteller for the global audience. He specialises in Product Design, Illustration, Visual branding and Filmmaking.
Harsh has been working extensively on projects to support and uplift the Gond tribal art community. He is building a digital platform to promote and digitise Gond art and to create a collaborative platform for buyers and artists. He has worked on an Indian artisans crafts portal with Meity Govt. of India. During his time at NIFT, he also conducted various craft research. Recently he has also made an award winning short documentary that reflects the hardships, struggles, and passion of artists towards Gond art. This follows the art legacy established by the legendary Gond artist, the late Shri Jangarh Singh Shyam Ji. He continually tries new ways to highlight tribal issues. His goal is to shed light on these topics and create work that promotes awareness.
