Barun Rajgaria
Bandna is a harvest festival observed by the agrarian Kurmi, Koda, Bhumij, and Santhal communities, in which domestic cattle and agricultural appliances are worshiped. The festivities usually begin with the families cleaning their houses and preparing to welcome the new harvest season. Embellishing the floors of the freshly coated house floor with rice powder is part of the process to welcome the festival.
