Exploring Tribal Roots through Design
As design enthusiast Sneh Lata loves questioning everything so that the answers may lead her to a better design.
She started being creative as a kid, winning awards for drawing and art. When she got her first computer, she taught herself graphic design. Her first project was designing a school magazine, and that encouraged her to help with events for her church.
She realised she was a designer when she went to Architectural College. She became the head designer for the college’s yearly magazine, and that motivated her to study design more seriously. She completed Master’s in Design with a focus on visual communication, guided by great mentors who helped her become a versatile designer, covering areas like communication design, interaction design, visual design, animation, and data visualisation.
Coming from an urban setup of New Delhi, being a designer led her closer to her original roots. She pursued a Master’s Degree in Design which gave her an opportunity to find a design path towards her Tribal identity.
