Abhijeet Rana is a passionate and innovative Furniture and Interior Design student at the National Institute of Design. Hailing from Keshkal, in the Kondagaon district near Bastar, Chhattisgarh, he belongs to the Halba tribal community. His work is deeply influenced by traditional craftsmanship, sustainability, and modern design methodologies, aiming to create functional and aesthetically appealing spaces and furniture.
Abhijeet specializes in 3D modeling, technical drawing, and model making, seamlessly blending technology with indigenous design sensibilities. His project AFTER HOURS showcases a furniture concept focused on functionality, reflecting his keen eye for user-centric design.
Beyond his technical skills, Abhijeet excels in people management, conducting surveys, personal interviews, and focus groups to better understand user needs. Proficient in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite, he continues to push the boundaries of furniture and interior design, bridging his cultural heritage with contemporary innovation.
