The Baiga women traditionally wear a dress that consists usually of a pink coloured cloth that is tied around the waist. The cloth is then carried across the breasts over the right shoulder and then tucked at the back. The women also like to wear colourful accessories that include necklaces, bracelets, armlets, and bangles. These are usually made of colourful beads, coins, as well as silver and aluminium. Apart from this the most important component of the Baiga woman’s ensemble is the tattoos that adorn her body.
