Sara Khongsai is a documentary filmmaker and conservationist dedicated to preserving indigenous cultures and biodiversity. An alumnus of TISS Guwahati and the Green Hub Fellowship, Sara works closely with local communities in Arunachal Pradesh and has made few short documentary films on indigenous traditions and environmental conservation.
Currently collaborating with Chajo Lowang in Tirap district, Sara co-authored a pictorial book documenting the biodiversity, culture, and folklore of the local tribe, supported by the Green Hub – Royal Enfield Conservation Grant (2022). They received the grant again in 2024 for their new project ‘Green Tirap’ focusing on conservation efforts in the region.
