Tribal Design Forum invites you to capture the spirit of the tribal people, culture and heritage of India in your photographs. Identify people, communities and cultural activities that you think makes tribal life in India rich, diverse and vibrant. Click pictures that best represent the essence of the tribal people, culture and heritage in India. We encourage you to present the unknown and unseen facets of the tribal communities and lifestyle in India to audiences through your entries.

All interested contestants must register by filling up this form to participate in the contest. Registrations close on 29 October 2022, 0900 hrs.
How to Participate?
- The entry should be submitted to photo@tribaldesignforum.com latest by 05 November 2022, 1200 hrs.
- The entries should be submitted only after registering through the process mentioned above.
- Entries submitted without registration will not be accepted.
- The email with the entry should contain the candidate’s Full name / Contact no. / Brief description of the entry in not more than 500 words. mentioned in the email while submission.

Rules of Participation
Eligibility
- Entry to the contest is open to both amateurs and professionals.
- Open to Indian nationals only.
- There is no age limit for the participants.
- Participation is open to individuals only.
- Each participant can send in a maximum of 5 entries only.
Technical Criteria
- There is no fixed matrix or judging criteria. All entries will be judged individually and the winners will be selected by consensus of the specially empanelled Jury.
- The submissions must be high resolution .jpeg images.
- Each entry to be at least 8in X 12in at 300dpi minimum size.
- The file size of each entry must not be more than 20 MBs.
- The photographs MUST be in a horizontal format.
- Vertical format photographs will be disqualified.
- The submitted work must not contain material(s) offensive to any particular community, group, individual or institution.
- Photo-editing can only be done to the extent of cropping, colour correction and tinting. Any of the allowed alterations, once made, must be clearly mentioned at the time of submission.
- Submitted entries that have previously been awarded at other competitions will not be considered eligible for entry and will face immediate disqualification.
- The incoming entries will be adjudicated by an eminent panel of photographers and industry professionals. The pictures will be judged on the relevance and the quality of perspective presented within the context of the contest theme.
Rights and Reproduction
- Any moral and paternity right regarding the project sent in for the contest is the photographer’s property.
- However, by submitting a photograph in the competition, the participant agrees to give Tribal Design Forum the first right of refusal to the exclusive use of the picture. This option is valid until 15 November 2024.
- All participants agree to allow their entries to be published or showcased by Tribal Design Forum in print, online and electronic medium where it deems fit to promote Tribal Design Forum or the Tribal Heritage of India.
- Tribal Design Forum retains the right to publish the submissions and information associated with them and the participants in all communication exercises for Tribal Design Forum campaigns.
- All participants agree to allow registered members of Tribal Design Forum to use their pictures for editorial, academic and non-commercial usage, provided due credit is provided to the photographer.
- Any employee or agent of the Organisers will NOT be liable for:
- any costs incurred/loss/liability suffered by participants in relation to the programme
- any lost expectation of profits by participant
- any failure by participant to understand their rights in relation to Intellectual Property or the rights of the Organizers in relation to Intellectual Property
- any other benefit applicants may expect to gain by participating in the programme
Terms and Conditions
Tribal Design Forum may change the Terms and Conditions of participation at any time without specific notice. The amended Terms and Conditions will be effective immediately upon being posted on www.tribaldesignforum.com and Tribal Design Forum Facebook page. Important changes to the Terms and Conditions will be highlighted in www.tribaldesignforum.com for your convenience; however, you acknowledge that it is your sole responsibility to regularly visit the website and Facebook page to read any changes to the Terms and Conditions of Entry. Conditions apply.
Disputes, if any, are subject to the jurisdiction in the courts of Ranchi, Jharkhand only.

Important Dates
- Registration for this edition is now closed.
- Preliminary screening, documentation and jury process is underway.
The timeline for this process will be communicated to all participants who have submitted entries by 15 Nov. Those participants who do not receive a mail by 15 Nov can contact shweta@tribaldesignforum.com for further query. - Announcement of the winners will be announced at an online Award Ceremony on 26 January 2023 on the occasion of the Republic Day of India.
